Doug Schoenborn

Doug owns and operates Glacial Retriever Kennels in Mahnomen, Minnesota. His goal is to educate and increase the public awareness as to the value of quality breeding, training and care of our gun dog companions. He trains a mixture of gundogs and competition dogs, including titles in AKC hunt tests, NAVHDA, VDD and numerous tournament hunting titles.

Doug started doing gun dog seminars in 1996. Since then, he has presented at such events as Game Fair in Anoka, MN (1997-present), Pheasant Fest (2003-present) and numerous other sport shows, dog clubs and sporting goods stores.

In addition to being a Pro Staff member, Doug is the Co-Founder of the National Upland Classic Series, a former camp instructor at In-Fisherman’s Camp Fish and an upland and waterfowl guide since 1987.

 

Jeremy Lawson

Jeremy owns and operates Any Good Reason Kennels in Southeast Minnesota. He adheres to the strictest of breeding standards to produce only the best pointing dog. The dogs’ welfare, health, happiness and socialization are the top priorities.

Besides breeding top of the line English Setters and German Shorthaired Pointers, Jeremy runs a boarding facility. He and his wife Amy, train for obedience, rally, agility, therapy, tracking, sledding, carting, service dog training and field work.

Jeremy attends numerous dog events each year, including the Rochester MN Sport Show, Game Fair, Pheasant Fest and the Rochester Feed and Country Store Expo.

 

Mark Haslup

Mark is an avid outdoorsman. He actively pursues all upland bird species. He deer hunts, hunts snow geese in the spring and fishes year round.

Mark owns Gordon Setters. He has particapated in AKC Hunt Tests, NASTRA Shoot -to Retrieve, and tournament hunting. Mark now uses his dogs for guiding and helping with a Senior and Disabled Hunters event in western Wisconsin.

A supporter of Pheasants Forever and The Ruffed Grouse Society, Mark believes in helping others enjoy their outdoor experience.

 

Tom Mohrhauser

Tom is a freelance writer and media consultant based in Franksville, Wisconsin where he lives with his hunting dogs and very patient wife Sherry.  He has been published intermittently since 1992 and has been regularly featured in Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, The Upland Almanac, Quail Unlimited Magazine, Chevy Outdoors, Shot Business Magazine and The North American Grouse Partnership Magazines.  His book comic look at rural life and hunting, “ParadiseValley” is available through Quail Unlimited, Inc.

His assignments have included; Editor-at-Large for Quail Unlimited Magazine, Contributing Writer for Shot Business Magazine (a National Shooting Sports Foundation Publication) and Consulting Editor for The Upland Almanac.  He has been a consultant with nationally broadcast outdoor television programs and has also served as a consultant to The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) inWashington,DC.

All things considered, he would rather spend a day afield with dogs and friends than just about anything else.

 

Dennis Foster

Dennis is an avid outdoorsman that is fortunate enough to have been raised in the heart of South Dakota’s pheasant and walleye country. He has taken his passion for hunting and fishing into several aspects of the outdoor industry that include, but are not limited to: owner of Dakota Pheasant Guide (www.dakotapheasantguide.com), a full service pheasant hunting outfitter; owner of Eye Time Promotions (www.eyetimepromotions.com), a top notch fishing guide service; a frequent outdoor television guest on Focus Outdoors TV, Outdoors with Tom Gruenwald and In-Fisherman TV; involved in product promotions, business and consulting relationships with a number of the top manufacturers; an outdoor writer prolific and published in numerous regional and national publications and a tournament fisherman, a touring pro on the Professional Walleye Circuit and other regional circuits.

Dennis also feels it is important to give something back to the outdoor community and has shared his love of the outdoors through many educational seminars and family/children’s events over the years.
